Energy Monitoring

All occupiers of property must be educated on the management of their building stock from an energy perspective. During the construction and refurbishment of any property we always take the opportunity to advise Clients of energy efficient solutions. However it remains essential that energy is monitored on an ongoing basis to prevent deviation from the target parameters that are set by the Facilities Management Departments.

In order to measure performance of buildings it is necessary to record first. With our partners we are able to provide solutions to our Clients which encompass a monitoring solution and installation of equipment. By monitoring performance closely, this allows a reaction to be carried out immediately to correct any anomalies. Close monitoring doesn’t necessarily mean that we will only deal with the elements that we are overseeing, but it may also highlight concerns or areas of improvement elsewhere within a building that at first may not appear to be related to energy consumption.

These results will be scrutinised in detail and allow us to continually advise on where energy savings and opportunities for running cost reductions can be carried out. Issues with building fabric and their relation to usage will be identified and assessments to show capital expenditure against payback can quickly be identified.

This service is effectively adding to our Clients' existing Facilities Management Strategy.
