Two More Care Homes Complete in Dudley and Rugeley
Goodrich are delighted to announce the completion of two more care homes in Dudley and Rugeley for Northampton based care home developer Avery Healthcare.
Broadway Halls, former student halls of residence for Dudley University, was demolished to make way for a new 83 bed care home providing residential, nursing and dementia care for the elderly. Goodrich Projects acted as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, CDM Co-ordinator and Party Wall Surveyor. Goodrich have carried out cost management and value engineering works on the original design proposals to bring the scheme within the Client’s budget, whilst maintaining the integrity of the proposed building to ensure planning consent was achieved. The care home was completed to a high standard and opened its doors in June 2010.
Rugeley opened its doors to residents at the beginning of September 2010. Goodrich acted as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and CDM Co-ordinator on this new 72 bed care home at Horse Fair, Rugeley, located close to the town centre and on the main through road to Lichfield. The site was formerly the location of a health centre.
